Welcome to impruve.

At impruve., we take a unique approach to personal training, working not only to improve physical fitness but to educate our clients on the critical connection between exercise, nutrition, and mental well-being. Our mission is to empower everyone we work with - whether you’re an adolescent or an adult, a weekend warrior or a dedicated athlete - to become stronger, healthier, and more in tune with both body and mind.

Specialising in sports-specific training, we work with athletes of all levels, helping them enhance their performance and reach their full potential. Through tailored programs, we focus on improving strength, endurance, and flexibility, while also emphasising the importance of mindful eating and mental resilience. Whether you're preparing for competition or simply striving to be your best self, our goal is to guide you on your journey toward optimal fitness and health.

Having played sport at semi-pro level, whilst holding down a role in Senior Management, I made the life-changing decision to become an expert in fitness and nutrition to ensure that i continued to stay fit in life after sport. This journey helped me transform not just my body, but my mind, and now I’m committed to helping others experience the same. I bring together all that I’ve learned through my own challenges and countless hours spent with my clients - listening deeply and providing guidance.

At impruve., it's not just about the workout; it’s about creating a space where people feel heard and supported. Whether offering a fresh perspective, guiding them through nutritional choices, or simply providing time to focus on their well-being, many clients leave sessions feeling rejuvenated, both physically and mentally.

Let’s make this about u.

Getting fit and healthy can be incredibly challenging. It’s a journey that can take a toll on you both physically and mentally.

A 2020 study by Healthline found that 73% of people who set fitness or dietary goals fail within two months. The reasons are varied - lack of knowledge, setting unrealistic goals, exceeding dietary requirements, and a pervasive fear of failure.

We live in a world flooded with free advice, but most of it lacks substance.

The fitness industry focuses too heavily on appearances rather than well-being, promoting ideals, and that your progress should fit a strict timeline.

But the truth is, there’s no finish line when it comes to health. Of course, you should always look for milestones, and set yourself some targets in the short-term, but sustainable fitness is about creating habits you love and can maintain for life.

Your journey should be tailored to you, not the masses. I’m not here to offer a “cookie cutter” solution. Everything you do should align to your unique circumstances. As your journey evolves, so does my approach to helping you achieve your goals.

AND WITH THIS, I BELIEVE THAT PERSONAL TRAINING CAN BE DONE DIFFERENTLY. BETTER.

no barriers

Many people don't realise it, but exercise can subconsciously make the difference between a good day and a bad one. so if you’re having a bad one then it's important to remember that it's okay not to be okay.

My goal is to break down the barriers and stigma around mental health, educating my clients not just on how exercise and nutrition impact their appearance, but more importantly, how it makes them feel.

"Recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, I knew I needed to change my eating habits and get fit, but I had no idea where to begin. A close friend recommended Impruve, and it was the best decision I made.

David took the time to understand my lifestyle, explained in detail how diabetes affects the body, and guided me on what I needed to do to help reverse it. He created personalised nutrition targets and a fitness plan that fit my needs perfectly.

Thanks to his approach, I've reached a significant milestone in my fitness journey, and I’m committed to continuing with Impruve to achieve my long-term goals."

- Garry Billing

"As an experienced runner, I thought I knew enough to get me across the finish line, but David introduced me to new strategies for managing long-distance runs and optimising my nutrition leading up to my half-marathon.

His guidance transformed my approach, allowing me to tackle the race with confidence and maintain my pace throughout.

David's regular check-ins and insightful tips were invaluable in keeping me on track and focused during my training."

- Gemma Luck

"For over 15 years, I followed online guides and tips from fellow gym-goers to lift weights, but I wanted to try something new and challenge myself with calisthenics.

I knew David from our gym, and the moment we talked about my goals, I could sense his enthusiasm to help.

With his guidance, I’ve mastered a new art in the gym and gained a renewed sense of discipline in my workouts."
